Get to Know Me

CBT Psychologist

Hello, I'm Dr. Niza, a licensed clinical psychologist based in South Florida. I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Miami and completed my clinical internship at the Mailman Center for Child Development at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, with a specialization in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

I have met all requirements and have obtained an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) from the PSYPACT Commission. By obtaining this authorization, this serves to show that I have met all requirements to be eligible to provide interjurisdictional services under the authority of PSYPACT | APIT Number: 18035.

I have expertise in evaluating and treating a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive, tics/Tourette's, ASD, and disruptive behavior disorders. I am a certified therapist in the Unified Protocols for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents (UP-C/A), PEERS, and PCIT. I am also a certified UP-C/A trainer and provide training and consultations in this treatment protocol.

I have authored numerous articles in the area of child and adolescent treatment outcomes and have presented findings at national conferences, including the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy (ABCT) and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).
